Hey y’all I have answered the call of all my fans to start a race blog. So here it is Mom and Grandma……I have 2 fans.
Here is the story of my life, I’ll go way back. It goes a little something like this.
Roddi “Hot Sauce” Lega
Born hot and raised in Champion City, aka The Best City In The World, aka Edmonton
Great at all sports ever invented, including hockey which I pretty much dominate when I play at the outdoor rink with the 7 year olds. But I mostly excelled at cross country mountain biking. Once again, must be the hotness.
1996 to 2002, Won some races, lost some, but was mildly ripping it up on the XC race scene in Canada
2003, second in the overall points for the Canada Cup series which I was leading until the last race of the year.
2004, winner of the overall points for the Canada Cup series. P-yeeaaow!
2005, got unpleasantly slow, had no good results, and blamed it on menstrual cramps.
2006, not good. Felt horrible and although I was still hot, didn’t have anything in the legs except cement.
Now it’s time for 2007. I got married, changed coaches, and lived and trained in my freaking cold hometown of Champion City. That’s where we are now. Only thing is, I seem to have both, my legs back, and my smart ass attitude. Which is a great thing. I am going to be updating my race season in this blog with many a laugh and even more exciting tales of how good I am at riding my mountain bike.
Here we go.
